Trisha, Surely you mean valve cover!
The retanglular shaped metal thing on the very top of the engine.
Is the oil coming out ABOVE the spark plugs?
If so, you need a valve cover gasket. About $2
If it's coming out below the spark plugs, tightening the head isn't
going to help.
