Hello everyone,
Well, Kate and Gary left here last night on the way back to their motel
in
Kerrville. Their plan was to leave EARLY this morning and head up to El
Paso to meet up with Robert.
We met them in Comfort on Monday afternoon (Yes, that's right - a day
earlier than they had originally planned). We had just returned from a
very frustrating and sleepless weekend at College Station (Texas World
Speedway), so Kate and Gary graciously decided to give us a rest and took a
motel room in Kerrville. We met up with them, and Peggy and Charlie
Robinson, for supper on Monday evening, and their plan was to 'shop' in
Kerrville in the morning before meeting up with Peggy and Charlie in the
afternoon. They will have to tell you about that. They all came back here
in the evening for supper and good conversation, leaving about 11:00 pm.
I'm not exactly sure about what happened next, but Charlie must have
run
over something, because he called this morning to say he needed a new
radiator and fan - I'm sure he'll tell us all about that at the soonest
opportunity. He needed a tow home, so maybe Kate and Gary came to the rescue.
Anyway, we had a good time whilst they were here - it seems that we
talked
about practically everything, cars, horses, dogs, cats, politics, the
military ....... the list goes on and on.
Gary was upset that he didn't see any evidence of my broom and spells,
but, come now, you can't really expect me to show the world about my
witching ways.
We were very lucky to have been able to meet them, and hope that the
next
time they get to Texas we'll see them again.
No doubt they'll tell us all about their travels when they finally get
back home. Lets all wish them safe travelling.
We are looking forward to seeing more of you this coming weekend
