  Hi Tommy,
I don't have personal experience with this but I've talked to someone who
has, it's just been a while... ;-)

Yes it will help. I -think- I was told about 1/8" for the spacers under
the shocks. I wouldn't do more than that to start. You might even use 1/16"
and make four of them so you can experiment. The spacers under the shocks
are for camber; they won't affect ride height. They might affect toe-in tho.
One degree of camber won't hurt anything in the suspension. If you were
just cruising the streets with them it might cause some minor extra wear on
the inner edge of the tire, but just one degree wouldn't cause enough to
worry about. Since you are planning on -fast- street cruising and maybe
some autocrossing you'll probably even out the wear pretty well. (I run
about 3/4 degree in my '88 Mustang with no problems and I'm not currently
doing any autocrossing.)
There are a couple(?) of autocrossers on the list but I think they're
running in stock class. (This mod should put you in Street-Prepared class.)
  I used to autocross a mostly stock Spridget. They're a blast! :-)
