Brings back memories...
The fun part for those just getting started who may also be broke is doing
this in ackward locations. Years ago my clutch push rod fell out (why it
fell out is another story) in Seattle on the I-90 floating bridge,
westbound, during rush hour. A kindly man behind me had a car who's car had
a bumber that lined up with mine. He pushed me to the end of the bridge
where I coasted off to the side. Armed with a bus pass, I made it home and
assembled the same components WFO describes (plus friend to push on the
clutch pedal and a new push rod). Borrowed another friend's car and made it
out days later to where the Midget sat, and proceeded to bleed the clutch -
without a flashlight, getting darker by the minute.
Memories like this are why I still have that car I purchased in '81.
