ok i'm home!
we returned back in breinigsville pennsylvania at 5pm saturday afternoon.
gee! we put only 881.7 miles on the van round trip. destroyed 1 tire on
the van, had an interesting lay over at the canadian border on our way to
robert's, and saw some incredibly bad driving along the way! we enjoyed
robert's hospitality friday evening and had a great diner out on his patio.
robert has a nice garage with a house attached to it...lol! we left
robert's home friday evening around 10pm and drove near 2 hours before we
called it quits and found the world's worst motel! we slept there but
decided to not partake in the "included american breakfast". we got a late
start after finding a place for breakfast . we headed for the 1000 islands
bridge and got stopped by a canadian border check for drunks just before the
united states customs stop. the u.s. customs stop was pretty
painless....how many of you are there?, have any tobacco products?, (we
tried to declare the couple of flies that we got in the van along the way
but the border official just waved us by.). then the left front tire
decided it no longer wanted to go home! so it was on with the spare and
away we went! gas and go all the rest of the way. we are glad to be home
and relieved to have gotten robert his car intact and delivered right to his
door.
now i need to read over 160 emails
