If anybody is interested in good deals check out www.frommers.com and sign up
for their
daily newsletter. My wife and I try and travel as much as we can and I have
found some
really incredible deals from frommers. There are also periodic e-mails from
Smarter Living
and from Orbitz and various other websites. I found most of them from e-mails
from
Frommers.

For inexpensive trips check out Dominican Republic. I have found 7 day all
inclusive
including air for around $650 each. Cancun is also inexpensive. Jamaica can be
cheap too.
There has been some unrest there but I wouldn't worry, mostly political
clashes. We went
to St. Lucia last January and really liked it but it pretty expensive. Grenada
can be
really cheap once you get there but finding airfare is a problem.

I would have recommended Belize but the Hurricane last month did some damage.
We spent two
weeks there a couple of years ago and found it awesome. There is a little town
on the
coast called Placencia that is exactly what you think of when you think of
idyllic
Caribbean getaway. Laid back is an understatement.
