My bro-in-law went through that too. He was an alcoholic. He couldn't figure
out if the LBCs drove him to drink or if the drinking caused him to drive
LBCs.

On the bright side - he hasn't had a taste in 15 years! Conversely, he
doesn't want to own another English car ever again...
