Save Our Sprite has been an interesting two days. WST's Street Sprite
is definitely a keeper, nicely painted, but needing complete assembly.

Some progress was made but there is still a lot to do. Working with
other list members and friends was great fun and the food provided
was... interesting. Scrapple from PA, clams from Ispwich, squid from
who knows where and of course the obligatory Turkey. Good stuff indeed.

I have to admit, one of the more interesting and entertaining parts of
the two days came just as I was leaving Saturday afternoon. Peters
business was closed, but somehow two teenagers, a boy and a girl found
us in the back of the building. They held up a small O-ring and asked
Peter if he had any of these. Apparently they took it upon themselves
to do a brake job on an '82 Volvo.

What's the best way to replace the pads? Well, in their minds it seems
to start at the biggest bolts and work your way down. So...... first
thing, split the caliper. Of course brake fluid spews all over. But
these were dirty calipers, so why don't we take them in the house and
wash them in the bathroom sink. One of the little "not available"
O-rings gets washed down the drain.

So, for four hours they cruise Madison parts dealers looking for these
O-rings. Somehow they end up at Peters back door. I had to leave
before the dilemma was solved, so Peter...how did this saga end?
