Thanks for all the responses regarding floor
measurements.
The spring hangers were held on with 6-8 spot welds
around the center hole in which the single spring bolt
protrudes. The spot welds were not detectable after
cleaning with a wire brush and bright light. I noticed
them only with indirect lighting. I wasn't even sure
that they were welds. I drilled through and cut a seam
weld at the most rear of the hanger and it fell to the
floor. Now the real work begins!
