I would appreciate your input with regards to the following symptoms:
a. Serious popping on deceleration when engine is either cold (choke
pulled) or warm (no choke).
b. When the car has been driven some distance (say 40 miles) and turned
off it will start again *but* seriously hesitates to pull, in fact it
shudders when I try to accelerate (gently or otherwise). This is
accompanied by a strong smell of fuel. I don't see leaks though.
Dwell is spot on, plug gap too. Ignition is retarded about 2 degrees
from nominal because it used to pink with the horrible non-leaded
substitute (LRP) that has been recently introduced.
Any ideas?
