out of context in which it is used in my
post; otherwise, it's just a joke a la Bobby
"D". I like this actor, immensely. He IS
good, IMHO.
I screwed up one of his "takes" at
Westchester Co. airport one night
(Meet the Parents) as my 1st officer
and I exited from behind the counter
(airport side) to the terminal, heading
for the parking lot....right into the "set".
(Beautiful...way to go Cap'n Jerk!!)
Why no one was "guarding" that door
beats me. Anyway, I am friendly with
famous people I naturally like from
what I've seen of them on screen or
wherever. Otherwise, I pay them no
mind. Flew Mick & Bianca (the
bit--) and the Stones along with Paul
Newman, etc., from time to time in
"local" air tranportation - not "phased".
Me: "How 'ya doin' Mr. "D"? Sorry!!"
(too late to turn back...scene is already
trashed & fastest way "through" is straight
ahead!)
Mr. D; "Fine, 'til you and your buddy showed up". (sincere grin & good
humor)
Me: (sarcastically) "Hey...be a man, be a man!!"
Mr. D: Wide grin, shaking head as I wave
goodbye and exit, "stage right"!!
Bought down the house; LMAO, very funny guy and a LOT older than I
expected, when seen in person. I wish
I could have seen Sandy Bullock when
she shot her "hanger" scenes at Westchester Airport for that FBI/Beauty
pageant flick she was in; this girl I love
after seeing her interview on Dennis
Miller. Not exactly love at first sight
but her sense of humor knocked me over.
And who's her current guy, "Huge" Grant
(when she could be with Capn' Bob!!)....
Disgusting!! :) Heard they had a little
tiff the other day as he was tardy for
date. Maybe there is hope, yet?!
