Greetings! I have a transmission question regarding the ribcase trans in my
Lotus Seven America. I took everyhing apart for a good cleaning and now I am
trying to make sure I can get all the gears before I put it back in the car.
(Keep in mind that everything was in boxes and I don't know if the trans ever
worked). If I screw in the reverse detent plug all the way, I can't get
reverse. If I screw it out about a quarter inch, I can grab reverse but I can
also easily grab reverse and 4th together. Not a good thing as I have to pop
the side cover off to pop it out of the two gears.
Ideas? Is there an adjustment procedure?
