Jap alts have 2 or sometimes 3 wires.
The large gauge wire from the alternator gets connected to the 3 heavy
wires on the regulator.
the small wire on the alt gets connected to the wire from the "F"
terminal on the regulator.
You can take the regulator out or use it as a neat junction box for the
jap alt conversion. But you will have to gut the regulator or use a
known bad regulator, don't gut a good one.
Regulator terminals are A-A1-F-D-E
A and A1 are already connected in the reg
F= field
D= dynamo (gennerator)
E= earth )ground)
You won't need E anymore
A, A1, and D all get hooked together and go to the large "B" terminal of
the alternator
F and the small wire from the alt just work the red ignition light.
