Well...some considerations;

Use of the Kevlar belt (avail. from MiniMania for $36.00) more than
doubles
useful belt life. Changing a belt on these
set-ups is a snap, anyway.

(APT does not carry the "vented" type but
their machine shop facilities should be able to handle this for you.
It's worth
having the vent or alternativley, you can
vent the 1275 block at the old mechanical
fuel pump location with a .75 or 1.0 fitting.

If you go the 1380 route, venting this set-up cannot be overdone anyway;
the more, the merrier!)

The "quietness" of the belt drive set-up
is truly amazing. The loudest sound you
will hear from the engine compartment
will be tappet oriented (especially if you
go with 1.5 rockers) and a cam requiring
.015 clearancing, which will become .018
with the 1.5's...really noisey but it's the
"sound of performance" above 4k.

And yes, the cam timing stays put over
time with no "scatter".

Would I "go back" - no. Except for renewing the belt every 50K, it's
basically
a once in a lifetime expense.
