I have factory left and right door mirrors on the '74 which are useful but on 
the '63 I only have
the rear view dash mirror and no side view mirrors and don't miss them one bit. 
The car is so small
that they aren't really necessary unless you need a offside mirror when backing 
up next to something
very close to the car.
