welcome will!
best wishes in finding a car to play with! the motorcycle thing is a no
brainer . the wiring on a bike is very simple and if you posess the
original harness all you need to do is use a volt ohm meter to read what
wire starts where and ends where and i bet you find that the ends are real
near where they need to be attached. the rest is using a repair manual that
has a wiring diagram to guide you through the rest of the attachments.
through installing the ones that are obviously intended to go to specific
items the remainders are easily eliminated one by one through using the
meter to see where they start and end by seeking continuity by toutching
leads from meter to the wire in question and use other lead from the meter
on other wires untill you get the other end of that wire or circut to give
you a reading of continuity. on a bike this is easy compared to a car's
harness wich runs the entire length of the car. if we were closer i could
wire your bike in an afternoon. i've made numerous custom harnesses for
some local customs by hand. it's not hard!

best wishes!
chuck.
