Good man, David!

Figured it out, eh?!

This is why most pro's will install a cam
they wish to run "straight up" (according
to mfg's specs.) 2-3 degrees ADVANCED.

There will still be some mechancal
wear between steel sprockets, chain, etc.
over time however. We are not talking a big deal here assuming oil is of
good quality and changed regularly.

The engine should wear out (valves, rings
or something requiring overhaul) before
this happens to any great extent, in "normal" driving.

This having been said, the belt set-up
is MUCH more quiet. I have one and
will never go back. The difference is
truly night and day.
