isn't difficult enough right?
The 948's and 1098's have side covers
for their lifters or tappets on the intake/exhuast manifold side. These
usually leak (get the later rubber gaskets
if you can...these work better than the cork ones the engine originally
came with).
Then again, you could have simply a leaky
intake/exhaust manifold gasket. Or, both
these problems coincidentally.
Does it smell like oil burning when you see the smoke? Or does it smell
like
exhaust smoke?
