A good degreasing followed by a good cleaning with Castrol Superclean.
I have used basic spray bomb primer on my engines lately and the paint
seems to hold up just fine.
I also have been useing Paul A's "Morris Green" paint, not only is it
the correct color but it is by far more durable then what others call
engine paint. (and he's a lister ;)
