Suggest you go with a water heated
rather than unheated intake manifold.

This is a more user friendly application
of the downdraft Weber which will allow
for better fuel atomisation in terms of
"off-idle" initial acceleration (less or no
tendency to "bog") and part throttle
cruise.

Don't worry about warming of the air
for operations where you've really got
your foot in it. There isn't enough water
heating available to prevent instant
"cold" under these operational circumstances. Good luck with the
conversion! :)
