No problem Gerard,

I understand there are many differences in identification between domestic,
UK cars and various exports. British car manufacturing in the 60s being
what it was, there is quite a bit of variation from car to car even!

Whilst I've only been around Sprites and MIdgets for a little over 2 years
now, I have plenty of LBC background, having a collection of some 7 Minis,
from a 1961 850, which came to Oz as a CKD kit, to a late 1978 Mini Clubman
LS (the last models built in Oz) and in between a 1964 Morris Cooper 997, a
1970 Mk 2 Cooper S and a Works Rally Replica.

Since meeting my fiance, who has a Sprites and Midgets we now have a 1962
Mk2 Sprite, a 1970 Mk3 Midget Groups S Historic Racecar and recently a 1963
Mk2A Sprite.

The other Oz listers will probably know of me over the past couple of years,
I'm currently the president of the Sprite Car Club of Australia.

There's my bio in a nutshell. Looking forward to more discussions across
the globe, as I have done with the autox Mini List over the past 5 years or
so.

cheers
Brett Manewell

Thanks Brett,

I appreciate the effort you made to help out.

As a new member, you should not be shy about introducing yourself to the
list. I don't know how long you've been around, (we have many lurkers here)
but it's always nice to have a contributor here. There are a few others
members here from the Land of Oz, nice to have another. Maybe you'll see a
name you recognize in the future.

Autrailian cars are a completely different breed when it comes to the finer
points of them, especially serialization. You have the dubious honor of
having the only true '61 (manufactured) Bugeyes. (watch the furor this will
start).

Welcome to the list and please take time to tell us about yourself. It is a
welcome practice around here.

Cheers

Gerard
