Thunk, what you refer to as the past tense of think.
I think, but yesterday I thunk.

On a carb, it can't be called a "clunk" a clunk is the sound of a 
caliper falling off.
Not a clink either, that's what a broken tooth of a gear sounds like.
It can't be called a click either, that is the sound of the fan or 
genterator when something else is wrong.

So to set the record straight, Yesterday I *think* I centered my carb 
jet. Today I tested it. It went *thunk* so having set it yesterday, and 
thinking rightly so, and since yesterday is in the past, yesterdays 
thinking would be thunking and if my carb piston makes a thunk, I think 
It's past time to think or is that thunk about a shot of something a bit 
harder then milk.
