Hard to find these days but an old asbestos siding shingle will do it.
Wear a mask when cutting and drilling. There is also an asbestos "style" 
replacement shingle available, it does not contain asbestos, Stratolite 
style is 1/4" thick. You might be able to get a broken one from a 
roofing/siding supplier or maybe some one you know has a bundle hanging 
out in their garage.
Makes a great heat shield too.
