cat-gratulations on the sweep at the show!!
ya know i coulda been there but after disturbing the peace during their
award ceremonies not that long ago.....umm i figured i'd not be welcomed
back.
so i spent the day working on the wrecked morgan and learning to hate 40
year old fiberglass(bugeye hard top)again! i spent 3 hours sanding out the
mess that the aircraft stripper left on the top (it had to be at least 10
years ago!). now today another 3-4 hours hand sanding to realise the thing
is a hopeless mess! but! it will get painted! not only is it a bit
warped but covered with typical hair line cracks rather typical to 1950's
fiberglass stuff. (ya gotta see a 53 or 54 vette in raw glass to really
hate vintage fiberglass! or even worse a kaiser darin!) any way it's going
to get painted! and painted to match the car (white). hopefully the white
color on the top will minimise the stuff i see wrong with it! i had hopes
for it looking real nice but i have to accept it is just not a candidate for
that type of finish unless it gets completly skinned in putty and i refuse
to put putty on 'glass! *sigh*
