Welcome back.
If you snug up the bolts enough to have just enough friction to keep it
from moving on it's own but not enough to keep you from nudging it,
pressing it down into th latching mechanism should give you somethiing
reasonably close to the way it was. just watch each side at the nose end to
make soure you have an equal gap at the fenders and so you don't scrap the
paint. Holding the bonnet at the front (partially lowered) with a hand on
each side and embraced with your forearms should give you enough control to
move (nudge) it around where you want too.
