You might be thinking of McLean's Brit Bits in Portsmouth (on the coast, I'd 
guess about an hour from Manchester). I stopped in on our vacation last year, I 
think. Parts counter, Moss reseller, has a shop, and a showroom with usually 3 
or 4 vintage cars. When I was there he had a very nice TD and a Daimler SP250. 

If there are other shops I'm sure I'll be corrected :)
