Z-S Carb Questions (slightly OT)

I've got a single Zenith carb on a '77 MGB that is streaming gas out the 
front.  It's coming from a hole just below and to the left (looking from 
the front) of the gas inlet.

Is there supposed to be a plug in this hole that has popped out?  JB Weld?
