Bill Perry from Rivergate agrees with Paul A. on not towing the 5-Speed with
the drive shaft connected.
"Please don't tow the Bugeye with the 5 speed conversion with all wheels on
the ground. The tailshaft won't be lubricated and it will burn up the rear
bushing. One of our customers, in the Coast Guard, therefore transferred
often, burned his up twice this way. He knows now! Either disconnect the
driveshaft at the rear and tie it up out of the way, or use a tow dolly
with the rear wheels loaded.
