The Geo Metro and the KIA radiators are aluminum core, but with black plastic top and bottom tanks crimped onto the core. Mine has had no leak problems as yet. I've seen a Geo Metro radiator that was not aluminum, so check to be sure you get one of the good aluminum ones.
