"It only happens with me in the car"

Ok, that's it....you've finally gone bonkers....I guess it had to
happen, sooner or later. Must be the breathing of
paint, reducers, etc. over time, finally
catching up with you. I have the address
of the AARP when you're ready. :):)

Since I've got the same thing, I assume
with headers, etc. that it is coming from
header/exhaust system resonance. It
showed up after I got about 3,000 miles
on the new engine (which BTW, runs
great). I've checked everything over that
can be checked (motor mounts, etc.) and
have found nothing out of the ordinary.

While this sound/vibration is a PITA,
For some reason, this "noise"
is not setting off any internal alarms
within my spine, bones, etc. and I have
learned to pay attention to this "sense"
and trust it. Could I be wrong? Sure...
there is a first time for everything! :):)

My feeling is that one day I will hop in
the car, turn the key, drive away and
it will just simply blow up or the "sound/vibration" will be gone as
suddenly as it appeared...for no apparent reason at all. Metal
components "move"
over time and use.

In the meantime, if I ever stumble upon
it's cause, I'll pipe up.
