It was something to see, all in the smallest bore car
(along with Grenade) on the track. Watched it from
Turn 1 about 15 ft from the track as we were pulling
my 3 cylinder Bugeye race car home. In lap 13 or so
the Alfa was too hot into turn 1, smoked the tires,
over-braked, lost momentum. Flounder pounced, then
some backmarkers were scattered about, and Flounder
absolutely smoked the Alfa in traffic, pulling away.
He was driving out of his mind, and it was incredible
to watch. Unfortunately, after he won the sprint
race I commented "Excuse me sir, can you move your
head? I can't see Michigan." I may have to modify
that to "I can't see North America."
What an awesome weekend, despite my car having to sit
out Sunday. Can't wait for RA with all 4 cylinders.
