Peter,
No.  I never knew they existed.  However, given the availability of
oversized jets (.100 instead of .090), it stands to reason that there has to
be a way to allow the supply (float valves) to keep up with the demand
(needles & jets), when "hot" cams, bigger valves, and carbs are used.

If volume is the issue, SU makes float needles of different diameters. The
stock is .70". They offer .096" and .125". The latter listed for
competition use. I could see this making a difference. I have tried
ordering them, but have them on back order to me. I hope to see some in a
month or so. I believe, but do not know, that these would be very helpful.
Anyone have experience with them?
