I have several - I find them relatively useful. They
don't give you great access, as they are relatively
bulky, but have their place. The 7/16 is perfect for
getting at the distributor pinch bolt, the 3/8" is
good for bleeding brakes prior to my switching to
Speedbleeders. I have a limited set from, I think,
5/16" to 3/4". I have not wanted for more sizes.
Similar to you, I received a $50 gift certificate at
work years ago, and thought that'd be something I
wouldn't normally buy. I like 'em in general.
