I'm not a 1500 kinda guy but the duct
hose does need to be in place so you
pipe in fresh outside air thus not accidentally killing yourself,
Antony. :)

An oil cooler is a good idea if you do
any consistently high rpm cruising (highway) at ambient temps. of say
>8C or so. Block it off for winter or
get an "oilstadt"....who's accuracy
in terms of performance requires an
oil temp. gauge.

I seem to remember N12Y for 1500's
and N9Y for 1275's but, I shall have to
defer to a 1500 owner in this respect.

The NGK equivalent for the "9" would
be "6" and for a "12" would be "5".
