Cyrille...

Fact is, while the engine may run fine
once it has finally started, high resistance
within the ignition system can prevent an otherwise rapid start.

Spark plugs become "wet" in a flooded
start and resist firing. Worn spark plugs
will behave the same way as will worn
wires...ozone attacks the insulation causing microscopic cracks in the
insulation, fr'instance, making a start
less rapid, most especially in cool, humid
conditions.

A microscopic "crack" in a distributor cap
can do the same thing, causing arcing.

Pull all plug leads (don't get them mixed
up!:) and while another cranks the engine
with the starter, hold the lead close to the
plug or any metal object (like the block)
and every time that plug fires (as the engine is turned over) a nice
bluish spark
should flow between the plug and metal
"ground".

Some guys do this with the engine running. Wear rubber gloves and rubber
soles!! :):)

You can do the same thing with the coil
"lead".

As Paul A. says...the orange spark is
weak. Look for that "strong" bluish-white
"flash"! :)
