western originally sold those rims in two finishes completly polished(wich i
have never seen a set of these to date) or a polished edge with a rough
blasted finish in the center. those rims were never painted or clear
coated by western when new.
they also offered two difrent center caps for that wheel a smooth chromed
cap with a chrome logo on a red background or a kinda "turbo finned" cap
with a chrome logo on a black bacground.
larry, asking someone else how they would like to see "your car" is asking
for a ton of confusion and a life time of displeasure from following other's
advice that does not reflect what you want.
the black rim center is not going to show brake dirt as much as a red
background. but a gloss finish will be easier to wash / clean than a semi
gloss or flat finish. kinda turns the whole decision process into a cess
pool of confusion. go with whatcha like!

chuck.
still hunting 2 ansen sprint aluminum slotted wheels in 13"...c.
