Rich...

My mech uses Hastings filters exclusively
these days while I've previously used
Unipart for years with no problems with
either one, to my knowledge.

Fram are supposed to be the worst but
I've read nothing myself which would
indicate they're "sub par" for any difinitive
empirical reason, one way or the other.

Some of the the new Unipart filters come
magnetized. www.justbrits.com

Any of the modern day premium petroleum oils (of of course the
synthetics) contain additive packages
which make any of them superbly suitable
for the daily driver. I myself prefer synthetics and am hooked on
www.oilextreme.com more or less. :)

Even Mobil 1 may not be 100% synthetic
as previously advertised. My mech was
talking about this the other day but I
myself have not read or heard anything
yet on this, otherwise.
