Hello Bill,

the "stacks" appear to be about 1 1/2" tall. pictures at

i like Frank C.'s idea of stuffing a sock in it. the breathing
characteristics MIGHT not be ideal, but the $$$ aspect has its
       appeal.

Best regards,
I picked up some "vintage" stacks recently...read old and dirty, and was told
the motor cycle shop would have a "cover" for these that acts as a filter.
Haven't been there yet but some of the list is into two wheelers and they might
know...

By the way, mine are about 3 inches long, do I win?

The Supreme Court ruled there cannot be a nativity scene
 in Washington,DC this Christmas.
This isn't for any religious or constitutional reason,
they simply have not been able to find three wise men or
a virgin in the nation's capitol.
There was no problem however finding enough asses to
 fill the stable
