Actually, Geoff...

FI runs 45psi+.

The Facet HP pump is a 6psi+ type for carburated applications requiring
a higher
capacity flow rate. I used one on my
"Vizardized" 1340 which gave 90+HP
at the rear wheels. Still, it had to be
regulated for the sake of the Weber.

Now maybe this was "overkill",
but at a continuous 5k rpm with spurts
to 7k, there was no leaning off according
to the dyno. Maybe the same could
have been accomplished with the lower
pressure Facet but things wear in time.

My thought was "reserve" and since it
could be regulated, better a little too
much than not enough over time.

I currently run the low pressure version
on the Cooper S spec 1293. This engine
basically never sees anything over 5k
(cam advanced 4 degrees for Metro
inlet timing - helluva bottom end and
mid-range!:) cruises at 3100rpm or so
doing 65 with it's 3.7.

Since like any electric pump they can
suddenly quit working, I use to replace them automatically every few
years
when I commuted to my "office". Now
that I'm retired and doing far less miles,
maybe every 5 years or so.

I've used Facets for years..swear by 'em.
