Well guys,
I am just about at wits end, try ing to degree in this cam and set up
the cam advance.

Let's see, i am rebuilding a 1275 with new kent 266 kit and new
rollmaster timing set with a choice of keyways to provide 2, 4 or 6
degree of advance or retard. Instructions are minimal saying only that
keyways to the 'left' will give cam advance.

A call to David Anton and he says set it to 104 degrees..., just to
slip the chain one tooth in the opposite direction for each keyway you
move ( he was not sure if it was one tooth or two).

So now I am beyond confused having futzed with the degree wheel and
clock gauge all afternoon.

So far the only thing that comes out correctly is when I use the center
keyway (no advance), I get 110 degrees for the cam max lift.

So, in theory 2 keyways over to the 'left' and then slip the chain 2
(or is it 4) links back to the right and I should be good...

nope, ... not yet

anyone been thru this recently?

thanks

Bill
