What color were the plugs when you
pulled them? They pretty much carbon
black? See "Note" below.

You got a stock 1500 or is it "tuned"?

I am not a 1500 kinda guy, but
none of the Series A engines idle
"roughly" and I doubt that a normal
1500 in decent mechanical condition
would shake around that much
either. But as long as the dizzy isn't
moving around independently of the
engine, there's nothing wrong with the
dizzy in this particular respect, anyway.

Note:
Too cold a plug to the extent they begin
misfiring due to carbon buildup will
definitely pull the power down all
around. When they really get black,
misfiring under load is not uncommon
and with only 4 cylinders, the power
drop-off is immediately apparent for
sure. 

Intermittent fuel flow (supply) "feels"
the same though the "cut" in power
normally comes and goes more
smoothly than an ignition "cut".
