Hi everyone,

On two different occasions and circumstances, Little Bits had a stuck
float. Once last fall after not driving for a few weeks, the front carb
float stuck closed and rough running was corrected by a sharp rap on the
bowl with a screwdriver handle. (Felt the dashpots and one was warm and
the good running one was very cold). Now after about 20minutes of
driving, it started poping and sputting at a traffic light after running
at 45mph. Once the light changed and sputter faded and back to speed.
next light, same sputter and pop. Pulled in a lot and it stalled.
Restarted immediately and never did it again for the 25 minute ride
home. I assume it stuck open since I could smell gas, but it
straightened itself out before I could look it over. The carbs were
rebuilt with fresh kits form one of the usual suppliers. They appeared
to be in good order, all the cork and rubber bits were soft enough that
they weren't questionable.

I'm going to open the float bowl and look at it for rough posts or burrs
on the moving parts, any other suggestions?

Thanks
Dave & Bobbie
