well actually i'd have to say a big NO to marvel mystery oil in any modern
vehicle! why? because it originally was intended as an upper cylinder
lubricant in cars from a time long gone by! in modern cars it has no place
as it could lead to contamination of the catalist and due to the oxygen
sensor reading the burned oil could lead a a rather odd fuel / air mixrure
wich over time could do some engine damage if it decided a lean mixture was
the answer to what the computer was being told by the effected sensors.
if you own a car from the beginning of automotive history through the 40's ,
i'd say you have a place to use this product. but , amy, your suburban is
not going to benifit from anything this product has to offer.
for fuel economy , i highly reccomend a very serious tune up, including a
new set of plugs of proper heat range and specific gap along with a very
careful timing setting to factory specifications! also a fresh air
filter. then look at the reccomended tire pressures and either inflate to
exact reccomended pressures or overinflate to around 32-34lbs./sq.in. if the
tires you are using are labelled to accept that pressure! but! beware!
running a tire above the reccomended mfgr's pressure will increase your
mileage by reducing your rolling resistance bit can give it a bit of a
"slippery" handling in wet weather!
you posess one of GM's literal barn doors aerodynamically speaking! hey i
drive a chevy van and i get better mileage than you do!
now! overinflated tires wear the center of tread out a bit faster than
giving a more even tread wear over time but with the fuel prices as they
have been going you might do better to destroy tires for good fuel economy
running over inflated than continue to get crappy fuel economy in the long
run!
with these newer vehicles there are very few tricks to do to improve the
performance or economy since they are controlled by computers wich through
the myriad of sensors may and can get even worse mileage if you stray from
the factory reccomended settings.
sorry to be such a "bummer " lady! but that's the basics of it all!
