Distinction of course between Britain and British Colonies.
A Colony was/ is NOT part of Great Britain.
The full and correct title was "Great Britain and The Colonies", making
clear that there was a difference.
So parts made in Hong Kong are NOT Made in Britain.

What makes these cars British is that they were designed and built in
Britain - even if some were then assembled in other countries.

Bit like Coca Cola, or a MacDonald's burger.  American products I believe
although "assembled" from local components throughout the world.
