Ass-u-me(ing) the engine is in reasonably
good mechanical condition....YES!

You should have at least two outlets in
a "vented" (no PCV) applicaton and three
is even better.

1. 1/2" at the valve cover
2. 1/2" at the timing chain cover
3. 1" through the old mechanical fuel pump fitting on the forward left
side of
the lower block, just above the oil sump.

For the track....
these should be plumbed to a catch can
which may be topped off with a (K&N) filter. 

For for the street...
as above or the hoses leading from each vent can be positioned
vertically to return all but gasses back from whence they came, all hose
ends sporting individual
air filters or any combination of the fore-
going, considering the engine breaths "both ways" through it's vents.
