Clutch woes

Not on a Sprite but on Tetanus, my big Headache, I mean healey.
Basically the same as a Spritget only 3 times bigger and heavier.

New master, line, hose, and slave. It bled up real nice.
New disc, plate, T/O bearing and pilot. So it's 100% new.
I can see the slave rod working and I have a hard pedal.

The tranny doesn't stop spinning when the clutch is depressed.
And I even tried holding it back with giant US made pliers.

No driveshaft yet so I can see the trans tail moving. It stops in neutral.

Too short a push rod?
Disc rusted to flywheel? (it has been installed about a week, never wet)
