Well...you've met me Annice...and thus
realize what a scary (though skinny)
human being I can be.

And....it's true...
I AM a frightening person, Annice. Just
ask the boys (and girls) down on Long Island (NY ARTCC & the "Common
I").

Though normally very cooperative with
controllers, there was never any question
as to who was Pilot-In-Command should
a controller unintentionally err in vectoring
"my" aircraft into (potential) harms way!
So, "imagination" (mentally "visualizing" if
you will) can keep one on the conservative (and safe) side...as in
"defensive driving". This is a good thing
for passenger-carrying commercial pilots.

OTOH....it goes both ways.
One thing I learned early in life....
imagination can also be a "good thing"
in being able to think "outside the box"
'cause not all the answers to life's
little problems can be found "within the
box".

Best regards to you and Bob and I'll
try not to be so frightening! :):)
