Like the old Nascar throttle restrictors, these manifolds are deliberately
produced this way in order to maintain a modicum of performance equality in
the vintage race world between Mr. Weber and the boys named SU.

Stop your whining and use it as is. Also, Ron, those manifolds don't need
gaskets.

If the Works Midget EVER gets running again, I'll look forward to seeing you
on the street. Just remember, NO GASKETS. That's the secret.

...I am reminded why I pretty much only buy stuff from
Peter C. I have much to be thankful for this holiday
season, and much to be a little bit worried about, but
I must rant:

I just received a Minispares manifold for my DCOE
Weber. The poor quality is absolutely astounding -
weld slag, porous casting, little 1/8 stalagtites
hanging in the bore, and pathetic misalignment of the
end flange onto the casting that has to be either a
cruel joke or a pretty good effort by a freshman at
the Braille institute welding shop. It came in a
plastic bag, with flaws obvious from the outside.
Anyone who gave a crap would have called me while
packing it and told me of the "quality". Ah well,
deciding whether to Dremel or return....

And, Mike G - paging Mr. Russell!!!
