I don't think you will have any problems with the pump. But I do have a
recommendation if you live in a hot area.
Don't mount the pump on the front fender. This sets you up for a vapor lock
from the heat of the engine. Install it under the right rear fender. You want
to keep the fuel tank line as flat as possible going to the suction of the
pump. I run a Napa Electric pump, looks like a large filter. It is hard on
the pump to pull a suction on the tank when there is a loop or rise in the
suction. Mine died after 2 years. It was covered under waranty but didn't do
me any good in the middle of nowhere.
The other thing is use the fitting that came on the fuel tank. A normal tube
fitting lets the tube inside the tank move around and it looses suction after a
half of tank. Don't ask me how I know but it has happened. After I had my
tank redone they lost the fitting.
The vapor lock happened on my TD in hot weather when running in traffic. When
I mounted the hidden fuel pump under the floor boards it's been fine. Now I
only use the normal fuel pump as a spare, I left it installed disconnected.
