#2 only, 'cause I'm on the way out the door and this one appears easy...

....the waxjets do this. They lean out the mix
when hot running. It takes the "disc" or whatever type of temp. compensator is
used a while to "cool off" and restore the
carb to normal mixture parameters. Until
"cooled off", the carbs will run lean.

"Renewing" may very well improve the
"rate of recovery" in the aforementioned
respect. Later...
